For most people daily commute to work is quite predicable therefore most people would not experience range anxiety. With the lowest mileage the MS 60 at over 200 miles this should be plenty of mileage for round-trip to work. It's unlikely supercharger is needed unless you have free supercharging with your Tesla.
Road Trip
Many owners will tell you taking a road trip with Tesla is one of the greatest advantages of Tesla owners, being able to use the autopilot and charge for less than gas price. But taking a Tesla for road trip does require more planning and the more trip you take the better you become at planning.
Before owning a Tesla you might notice there are plenty of empty charging spots that no one ever used. But once you start driving one, you will notice there is hardly ever an empty charging spot. Especially when there is free charging, it might be close to impossible to find a slot to charge. You will come across many broken chargers since there is incentive to install charger, but often there is no incentive for the owner to maintain and repair the charger.
The supercharger is probably the most reliable charging infrastructure and one of the biggest advantages of Tesla over its competitors. Tesla had made numerous improvement to supercharger, including increasing the number of chargers/location, the new V2/V3 chargers that charge at a much higher speed (shorter time) and live update of open slots on Tesla app.
The reality is supercharger is still far from perfect, in California, despite the increase in chargers and locations many sites are packed especially on holiday, it's not uncommon to see 6-7 Tesla is waiting for a charge. The live update on Tesla app can only tell you the number of open charger, but it doesn't know how many cars are waiting in the queue also there are broken chargers that might show as unoccupied. Once it's your turn to charge, you might notice the charge speed is much lower than expected. While it's easy to move to a different stall and try if there are 6-7 Tesla waiting in queue it might be quite confusing. Also a lot of supercharger there is more than one way to enter and exit and it's not really design to form a line so you might see owners confronting other who they think are cutting.
